The SoCal POTTERS in one form or another has been around for many years. To my knowledge I do not believe there ever was a formal organization with bylaws, officers, dues, etc. Historically someone took on the tasks of maintaining a mailing list of owners, setting sailing dates and from time to time following up with a newsletter.

Today the tradition continues with the website taking the place of a newsletter. All trailerable sailboats are welcome and skippers are encouraged to use this site to share their experiences and expertise, coordinate sail dates and social events.

The SoCal POTTER website is limited to facilitating communication of the POTTER community. There is no "club" nor are there any experts, responsible parties or event organizers involved in this effort. Most important of all, every skipper is solely responsible for the safety of their boat and crew.
